Ellen White was Catholic in classifying her meat and fish … at least as far as classifying fish as non-meat goes, as we do in Lent.
A blessed Lent to all, both Catholic and Adventist!
“Two years ago I came to the conclusion that there was danger in using the flesh of dead animals, and since then I have not used meat at all. It is never placed on my table. I use fish when I can get it. We can get beautiful fish from the saltwater lake near here.”
– Ellen White, Manuscript Release 14, 330.2
“We have not had a particle of meat in the house since you left and long before you left. We have had salmon a few times.”
– Ellen White, Manuscript Release 14, 336.1
