Dear Adventists. The sabbath is not God.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

God does not change. The Bible tells us this.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Malachi 3:6a (KJV) – For I am the Lord, I change not \u2026<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hebrews 13:8 (KJV) – Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adventists need to stop using those verses as proof texts that the sabbath doesn’t change. Those passages refer to God, and, unless Adventists think the sabbath is God, those passages do not refer to the sabbath.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How God works with humans did change.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Hebrews 1:1-2 (KJV) – God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even Adventists believe this verse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The law is not God, and did change.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Hebrews 7:12 (KJV) – For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not even Adventists believe the law regarding animal sacrifices remains in effect. They just choose which parts of the Old Covenant law they feel are applicable to them based on their prophet’s teachings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The active covenant with man is not God, and has changed.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Hebrews 8:6-13 (KJV) – But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises. For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah: Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord. For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest. For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more. In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

2 Corinthians 3:3 (KJV) – Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Old Covenant vanishes away. New Covenant takes over.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The sabbath is not God. The sabbath can change.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The sabbath can start and end and cease to exist for a week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The sabbath can be abolished.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hosea 2:11 (KJV) – I will also cause all her mirth to cease, her feast days, her new moons, and her sabbaths, and all her solemn feasts.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dear Adventists. The sabbath is not God.<\/u><\/strong> God is unchangeable as an infinite eternal being. But his dealings with humans changed according to where we were in his plan.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
