In the first part of this series<\/a>, we saw that the Sabbath commandment is one of the 10 Commandments, that the 10 Commandments are the words of the Old Covenant, and that the Sabbath was the sign of the Old Covenant.\u00a0 Now we’ll look at what the New Covenant’s legal code is, and what the 10 Commandments are under the New Covenant.<\/p>\n

Jeremiah 31:31-33 (KJV): Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant<\/strong> with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:\u00a0 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt<\/strong>; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD:\u00a0 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts<\/strong>; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.<\/span><\/p>\n

Hebrews 8:6-10 (KJV): But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant<\/strong>, which was established upon better promises.\u00a0 For if that first covenant had been faultless<\/strong>, then should no place have been sought for the second.\u00a0 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:\u00a0 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord.\u00a0 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days<\/strong>, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts<\/strong>: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people<\/span><\/p>\n
