In the\u00a0Endtime Issues newsletter #156<\/a>, Samuele\u00a0Bacchiocchi<\/a>\u00a0says:<\/p>\n

It almost seems that to be a loyal Adventist you must always find something wrong with the Pope.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

He is quite right – that is how many Adventists feel and respond to the pope.\u00a0 Anything Catholic, in fact.<\/p>\n

He continues:<\/p>\n

I do not share this view.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Sometimes.\u00a0 Sometimes not<\/a>.<\/p>\n

There are times when I condemn the pope for actively promoting the idolatrous worship of Mary, but there are also times when I commend pope for addressing the socio-political issues of our time in a responsible way.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Since Catholics do not worship Mary, and since the Pope doesn’t either,\u00a0Bacchiocchi<\/a>\u00a0is quite out of line condemning him.\u00a0 It would be like the Pope condemning Adventism for\u00a0worshipping Ellen White<\/a>.\u00a0 [Icon of Ellen White<\/a>]<\/p>\n
