In a rather desperate attempt to claim that a service on the 1st day of the week could not be a Sunday service because it was on a Saturday night, after sunset but before midnight,\u00a0the author of this article<\/a>\u00a0at the notorious Amazing “Facts” says:<\/p>\n

This explains why the Sabbath is described in these words, “It shall be unto you a sabbath of rest, … from even unto even, shall ye celebrate your sabbath.” Leviticus 23:32.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

This is the passage that Adventists follow in their sunset to sunset idea of the Sabbath.\u00a0 Most of them don’t realise that this is part of the Mosaic law that they consider abolished, because it does not refer to the Sabbath, but to the Day of Atonement.\u00a0 The author cleverly conceals this fact with “…” and then lies about what the passage is describing.<\/p>\n

From the real Bible:<\/p>\n

Lev 23:32 KJV\u00a0 It shall be unto you a sabbath of rest, and ye shall afflict your souls: in the ninth day of the month<\/span> at even, from even unto even, shall ye celebrate your sabbath.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Interesting. Not about the weekly sabbath at all. Not an uncommon method of explaining the Bible when it comes to Adventists.<\/p>\n
