Pope Benedict’s pallium on the tomb of Pope St Celestine V

It says the following in an article on the National Catholic Register – What Does Cardinal Sodano’s Departure as Dean of the College of Cardinals Mean?

On Nov. 25, it was announced that the Pope’s personal secretary, Father Fabián Pedacchio Leániz, an Argentinian, would return to the Congregation for Bishops where he began working in 2007. It is standard practice for a pope to make provision for his personal secretaries, to protect them from any ill-treatment in the future.

That looks a little like preparation for the end of his papacy. Should we be concerned? Are there other subtle signs, like the one where Pope Benedict XVI laid his pallium on the tomb of Pope Celestine V?

Pope Benedict left the pallium on the tomb almost 4 years before he resigned.
